Went to the Pig and Whistle for a quiet drink and a game of darts with S, J, and K. On the corner where I usualy try to catch a cab was this piece of graffiti, I don't know if it's new (I doubt it) or if I'm just seeing things differently becuase I'm now always looking for things to photograph, but I liked the repitition.
Inspired by Flickr's "Project 365" and my friend Kathy, I will attempt to post one picture per day for a year starting August 1st 2007. Sometimes the pictures will be artistic, sometimes they will be things that were important to me on that day and other times they will just be pictures of things I thought were funny. I am sure a lot of poorly shot, poorly composed photos will be taken, but hopefully so will one or two great ones.

#037 My Bag
This is my laptop/school bag. I was looking at it today and noticing that it's still looking good after a year of abuse. The flap is getting a little grubby, but when you consider the miles it's done on the back of my motorbike and the floors it's been slung across in my office and classrooms, it's doing ok.
Oh and the crazy carpet in the background is one of the rugs in the Center for Computing for the Life Sciences

#036 Thornton Hall
So this is the building in which I have all my lectures, I am there every Wednesday and Thursday from 7-10pm this semester. With the sunset, this is about as good as it's ever looked, becuase on a wet January morning, this concrete monstrosity it isn't winning any beauty contests.

#034 BBQ
Since it was a bank holiday today we had a few friends over for a couple of beers and a BBQ in our courtyard. Nice and low key after a big weekend.

#033 Hangover
So after cricket yesterday we went back to the Pig and Whistle for drinks and to celebrate the end of our season. Many drinks there, then somehow I ended up in a club. T stayed behind to talk to our friendly bar tenders J and P. Both T and I were hurting in the morning. Fortunatly, whenever I'm in England I pick up packets of this hangover medicine called 'Resolve', it certainly takes the edge off.

#032 Cricket
Last cricket game of the season. It still feels odd to play cricket in America, and we still get passers by stop and stare at these 22 guys dressed in white standing around in park. We play against Marin Cricket Club, who have this amazing ground in Larkspur, CA with views of Mt Tam, dragonflies in the outfield and not a cloud in the sky. We lost as per usual, but we had a great time.
