T and I were walking down to Clement St for brunch. There was a littIe garage sale going on. I found this old 50s camera for $25 today. It has a million cool little accessories like the flash and this tripod. I've no idea if it works (the shutter fires), but if nothing else it looks great.
Inspired by Flickr's "Project 365" and my friend Kathy, I will attempt to post one picture per day for a year starting August 1st 2007. Sometimes the pictures will be artistic, sometimes they will be things that were important to me on that day and other times they will just be pictures of things I thought were funny. I am sure a lot of poorly shot, poorly composed photos will be taken, but hopefully so will one or two great ones.

#045 80s Prom
It was Jenny's birthday and she went all out, renting a hall and throwing an 80's prom party. Everyone dressed up, it was a lot of fun.

#044 Busy Little Bee
I think it might be a wasp, but Busy Little Wasp just didn't sound right. I got up early to move the car out of a street cleaning spot. I was taking a close up of these flowers outside our neighbors house this morning. This wasp was buzzing around, so I waited for him to land and then snapped this.

#043 Tivo
This is our Tivo remote. Being at college 2 or 3 nights a week I don't get to watch much TV, but at least Tivo allows me to watch the shows I want to watch when I have time.

#042 Humanitarians
The garden of the humanitarians in Golden Gate park had become a bit of a homeless encampment, but in the last month or so it's been cleaned up a bit. Trish and I walked over there with the dogs after work. This plaque is on one of the little stone tables, the quote reads
"TO SAVE AN INNOCENT LIFE, AT THE RISK OF ONE'S OWN, IS AS IF TO SAVE ALL OF MANKIND"
Somehow that seemed appropriate today, remembering all the members of NYPD/NYFD that were killed six years ago today.

#041 Russian Center
T and I went to look at the Russian Center as possible venue for the wedding reception. It has a huge art deco ballroom. It's certainly on the short list.

#039 The Revolution Will Not Be Televised.....
.....but you might read about it on a flyer here.
Trish and I wandered to Haight St this afternoon. The summer of love was coming to an end exactly 40 years ago, and I suspect that this telephone pole at the corner of Haight & Ashbury pre-dates that. It’s crazy to think about the thousands of flyers that must have been posted with these staples. Ads for Grateful Dead shows, Janis Joplin’s free concerts in Golden Gate Park, ‘Lost Cat’, ‘Roommate Wanted’, ‘Down with Nixon/Reagan/Clinton/Bush etc’. I wonder how many years a rusty staple lasts.
