There are families of new ducklings in Stow Lake this week. They are afraid of nothing.
Inspired by Flickr's "Project 365" and my friend Kathy, I will attempt to post one picture per day for a year starting August 1st 2007. Sometimes the pictures will be artistic, sometimes they will be things that were important to me on that day and other times they will just be pictures of things I thought were funny. I am sure a lot of poorly shot, poorly composed photos will be taken, but hopefully so will one or two great ones.

#269 More Up
More "Shooting Up" this is a disused railway bridge in Larkspur, CA. I see it on my way to work every day. It's been left in the in the up poisition for years now.

#268 ....and The Dragon
Yesterday was about St George, so today is about a dragon. Specificly a carved wooden dragon that is part of a gong we keep in our living room.

#266 Shooting Up Week [7]
So you can't do a week of shots about 'shooting up' without getting a needle in there somewhere. This is from when we used to have a diabetic cat that we had to inject with insulin twice a day.

#264 Shooting Up Week [5]
St Mary's church Grant St San Francisco, with the tall buidlings of the financial district in the background.
T and I played tourist in our own backyard today. We walked round Chinatown and just took pictures and poked through the little shops.
Since neither of us work in San Francisco right now it's all to easy to only ever see the park and our neighborhood so we've vowed to make an effort to get out and see the other parts of the city.

#260 Shooting Up Week [1]
I've had a lack of creativity for a little while now, so to get back into the swing of things I'm going to do a week of shots for the new flickr 'Shooting Up' group.
This is a lamp post in the parking lot of my office.

#259 I Heart Wednesday
I don't like Mondays, today is a Tuesday, but clearly someone loves Wednesday, or maybe they love Street Cleaning, or maybe they love that this street is 9am and not 8am like all the others around our apartment. I don't know, but I was lacking inspiration so I took it.

#257 Ball Park
As a counterpoint to yesterday's boxing, I had tickets to the company suite at ATT&T park to watch the Giants hammer the Cardinals. We got there a little early and the staduim was still pretty empty.

#256 Street Fighter
Feeling better today, went to the gym for my Saturday boxing lesson. It was crazy hot in the city so we rolled up the garage door and stood just inside those metal bars trying to get some air. P held pads and I gave them a good working over.
It felt a bit like a scene from 'Rocky', working out in a no nonsense boxing gym under the freeway, with the street and the dumpster right next to you, with a crazy boxing trainer yelling out combinations to throw and shouting things like 'Make him miss....you gotta make him miss before you make him pay'. Homeless people were walking past and shouting random words of encouragement as the sweat dripped and the punches flew.
Certainly a far cry from my 9 to 5 yuppie job behind a desk.

#255 Bhaji
I'm still sick, so all photos today are taken form the couch. Here's a picture of Bhaji who came over to see what was going on.

#254 A Tissue
They say if you stack every Big Mac ever sold end on end it would reach to the moon. If you stacked every tissue I used today with this damn cold, I think it would look something like this.
