Inspired by Flickr's "Project 365" and my friend Kathy, I will attempt to post one picture per day for a year starting August 1st 2007. Sometimes the pictures will be artistic, sometimes they will be things that were important to me on that day and other times they will just be pictures of things I thought were funny. I am sure a lot of poorly shot, poorly composed photos will be taken, but hopefully so will one or two great ones.

Nothing like chicken soup when you're getting over a cold. Except perhaps Chicken shrimp and wonton soup from Melisa's

One of the problems of working from home is that it's pretty hard to call in sick. So I half worked half lay on the couch for most of the day. This is our small white dog, (who is in desperate need to a trip to the groomer) he kept me company by sleeping near me/next to me/on me all day.

#058 Sick

I've caught whatever that has floored T for the last week.

It's come at a bad time. I was up till 3am trying to finish homework that had horrible instructions, work is getting busy, I had class 7-10pm today, I'm way way behind on my thesis and I'm supposed to be flying to Arizona to meet T's biological family on Saturday. On top of that there are dogs to walk, laundry to do and pictures to take. When people ask me if working full time and going to school is hard, I say 'yeah, it has it's moments'. This is one of those moments.

#057 Where In The World

I got an email from my sister in England the other day saying how much she's enjoying my project 365. It was nice becuase since she never leaves comments (hint hint) I thought only a couple of friends ever saw it. I enabled Google Analytics for this blog and it shows me where in the world eveyone who stumbles across my blog lives. Countries in order of frequency are the US, Britain (all makes sense) then Norway and Indoneasia. Who knew!

#056 Calculations

As part of my masters degree, I'm doing my thesis research in the Center for Computing for the Life Sciences at SF State. We have our own lab with lots of whiteboard which is great for working together.

This is my lab partner for Bioinformatics last semester. He's working on some math for his thesis, he was disappointed that he wasn't doing some more impressive math for this photo.

Oh and the thing he's trying to work out is "If you have a mesh with n x n x n set of points aranged in a cube, how many edges are there?"

#055 Save!

Somehow I got talked into playing on the Computer Science indoor soccer team. I'm not fit enough to run around with a bunch of 22 year olds for 30 minutes so I agreed to play in goal. Our first game went pretty well, we came back from 2-0 down to win 2-3. I did ok, not great, but I made a couple of good saves and didn't embarrass myself. These are the gloves I bought to try and save my hands.

#054 Scooters

Today was the last day of the San Francisco Scooter Girlls 'So Far, So Good' rally. They led a ride of about 70 scooters all around San Francisco followed by a picnic in Dolores Park. There was amazing food, beer and a raffle at which I won 2 pairs of Dr Martens boots, a leatherman tool and a pair of gloves!

#053 Take The Skin Heads Bowling

T is the president of an all girls scooter club. They held their first rally this weekend. This is Stephan's Vespa P200E. The Scooter Girls had a 4 hour group ride and then an event at a bowling alley. I didn't go on the ride, but I did borrow a bike to compete in the obstacle course.
