Inspired by Flickr's "Project 365" and my friend Kathy, I will attempt to post one picture per day for a year starting August 1st 2007. Sometimes the pictures will be artistic, sometimes they will be things that were important to me on that day and other times they will just be pictures of things I thought were funny. I am sure a lot of poorly shot, poorly composed photos will be taken, but hopefully so will one or two great ones.

#199 Cherry Blossom

Cherry Blossoms at night. It feels like all the cherry blossom trees in San Francisco burst into bloom this week.

#198 Chapel

T had to have a minor procedure performed at St Lukes Hospital this morning. Despite it's recent purchase and upgrades, St Luke's 130 year history of serving San Francisco's poorest neighborhoods is still fairly evident as you walk around the utilitarian building. Then as you walk down one small corridor there’s this…..

The chapel was built in 1912 (after the whole hospital was leveled in the 1906 quake) and features this stunning stained glass window and a huge pipe organ that would put many larger churches to shame.

Our dishwasher broke down yesterday, which means for the next few days these little dishwasher tablets are only good for taking photos.

#196 Fire Station

196/365, originally uploaded by AXO - 365.

Anju had to go to the vet for a checkup, the vet was running late in surgery and told us to come back in half an hour. I used that time to wander around the Inner Sunset neighborhood and take pictures. This is a light on the front of a fire station on 16th ave. I guess it flashes when the fire engines are pulling out, or maybe it's just for decoration, I don't really know, but I liked the colors and the shapes.

#195 Good Dog / Bad Dog

This is the hooks on which we hang the dogs leashes. I think we all know which dog is which,

194/365

194/365, originally uploaded by AXO - 365.

A big section of Golden Gate park is closed to traffic on Sunday. The roads are taken over by roller bladres, bikes, skateboards and even a large group of swing dancers. I'd love a dollar for every kid that's learned to ride their bike on this stretch of road.
