Inspired by Flickr's "Project 365" and my friend Kathy, I will attempt to post one picture per day for a year starting August 1st 2007. Sometimes the pictures will be artistic, sometimes they will be things that were important to me on that day and other times they will just be pictures of things I thought were funny. I am sure a lot of poorly shot, poorly composed photos will be taken, but hopefully so will one or two great ones.

#129 Prodigal Cat!

129/365, originally uploaded by AXO - 365.

After running away 15 days ago, our cat Bhaji finaly came home last night. He's lost a lot of weight and is quite dehydrated, but he's home, everything else we can fix. I was feeding him witha spoon and he got some on his nose, so I snapped this of him licking it. Not the best photo I took today, but certainly the one that made me the happiest.

#128 Flower on a Table

128/365, originally uploaded by AXO - 365.

T and I both worked from home today, so we walked across the street to the de Young Musem and had lunch at the cafe. Each table had one of these flowers in a small vase. This is an example of how different light sources show up on a digital camera. Daylight from the window looks a little blue, the tungsten light bulbs look slightly yellow and the pink/purple lampshade adds some warm tones. All three of them were hitting this white flower at the same time, which creates a nice effect against the black table.

#126 Lonley Cat

126/365, originally uploaded by AXO - 365.

This is our cat cham-cham. He's been very needy since the kittens left and the other cat ran away. I think he's lonley. I decided to give sepia a go, I thought it worked with the (accidental) slightly soft focus.

#125 Stitches

125/365, originally uploaded by AXO - 365.

Worked from home today, so for lunch walked the dogs to Cafe Muse. Outside there are these small bamboo tables with the slats all stitched together. They've been outside a little too long and they have these great textures which I thought would look good in high contrast B/W. I'm quite pleased with how it came out.

#124 Brown Sauce

124/365, originally uploaded by AXO - 365.

HP Sauce! Didn't like it as a kid, but now I love it, esspecialy with steak or sausages. It's hard to find in the US, but they have it on the table at the Pig and Whistle where we went for a pint this evening with our friends L & S.
