Don't believe the hype!
I got up before dawn to go and watch England v Australia in the quater final of the rugby world cup.
Since England lost to South Africa, all I've heard is how Australia were going to murder England in today's game, how England were the worst world champions ever and according one of the Australia players England only have one world class player in the back line. I believe the average score predicted was 50+ points for Austrailia
I think we all know what pride comes before....
It wasn't a pretty game, and England didn't play entertaining football, but we're one step closer to the final and it's going to be a long flight back to Oz.

#066 Conservatory
Walked over to the Conservatory of flowers to take some pictures. All the main flower beds out front are empty today (I guess they're putting in a new display for the autumn) but the building is still pretty stunning. The color version is available here

#065 Stony Faced
There is a little coffee shop at 8th Ave and Funton, I buy lunch from there maybe once a week if I'm working from home. They have a few reclaimed decoration things on the wall, from a pipework candelabra to an old distressed victorian mantle (no fire, just the mantle) and this, which appears to be part of a fountain, and lives above the trash can. I'm not sure if it's supposed to be a viking or a devil.

#064 It's Dark!
Our little local corner store had Heineken 'Dark Lager' in stock when I went in last week. Since I was sick last week I only tried one but now I'm better I'm drinking it. I like it a lot, it's got a touch more body than a regular lager, reminds me a little bit like the German Octoberfest beers.

#063 Fortune
B and I had a very long, but realy inspiring meeting with one of the researchers from UCSF. When I got home T had ordered chinese food. My fortune said I was coming into money soon, so that's nice!

#062 Last Daisy
It's October 1st so I'm guessing this is the last flower the daisy plant in our courtyard will put out this year. It rained last night and when I left for work there were still some water on this flower. Taking pictures of the flowers in our courtyard was always my project 365 plan B, reserved for days when I had nothing else to take pictures of. Now it's autumn I feel like I should take some more before all the flowers are gone.

#061 Goal!
Sunday morning watching Everton grind out a 2 - 0 over Borough. About halfway through the second half, one of the kittens we're fostering discovered the moving ball on the TV. He spent a good 15 minutes trying to catch the little white ball as it moved round the screen.
